PHRYGIA. Peltae. Pseudo-autonomous issue. Triassarion (Bronze, 27 mm, 11.54 g, 1 h), time of the Antonines, 138-192. ΔΗΜΟϹ ΠЄΛΤΗΝΩΝ Head of youthful Demos as Herakles (or Alexander 'the Great') to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΜΑΚЄΔΟΝΩΝ Apollo standing front, head to right, holding bow in his left hand and drawing arrow from quiver with his right. Martin 2. RPC IV.2 online 9984. Very rare. Some deposits and the reverse a bit weak, otherwise, very fine.
